Preschool Parade

Josh had a cute little Halloween Parade at preschool today. He didn't think he wanted to do it, or if he did, he wanted me to walk with him. He told me it wasn't going to be fun, but as you can see, he looks happy and he told me it was fun :)

Hannah Montana

Tickets to Hannah Montana Concert: $100ish

Lunch and Parking: $20

Being at a concert with thousands of young girls screaming so loud you think your eardrums are going to burst and watching your 8-year-old daughter scream and clap and jump up and down when Hannah Montana comes out: priceless :)

Today Lauren got her hair cut. It looks really cute. She also started her own blog. You can see it here. We're off to the Hannah Montana concert. Check back later for pictures :)

Daddy Daughter Date

Last Friday night our church had a daddy-daughter Halloween party for the 8 to 11-year-old girls. It was obviously a costume party with pumpkin carving, games and food. Lauren and Parley said they had a great time. Lauren is a cute BYU cheerleader and Parley borrowed the Indian costume from a friend. He looks good with braids :)

Last Soccer Game

Taylor had his last soccer game of the season yesterday. It was icky weather for the fifth straight Saturday in a row. This was acually a make-up week for a missed game earlier in the season because of weather. It was 63 degrees when I got up at 7 a.m. and by 9 a.m. it had dropped down to 40 degrees and it was raining. They don't cancel the games unless there is lightening so off Taylor and Parley went. This is how Taylor was dressed. He said he stayed warm but he was soaked by the time he got home. He played the whole time because only 8 players showed and you need 8 players to play. He's quite the player and "almost" had 3 goals!

Pumpkin Patch

Today it was 70 degrees. Tomorrow (Saturday, of course) it's supposed to snow. So... today we decided to visit the pumpkin patch. We went with my friend Jen and her two kids. We thought we'd be there for an hour but ended up staying two hours. The kids had a great time.

Disney Remodel

Parley found an article in the Wall Street Journal yesterday that said Disney is going to remodel California Adventure. I think it's great as is but do agree it could be a little more "kid friendly." Two of my favorite rides are California Screamer and Tower of Terror. I'm excited to see how cool it is when it's all finished. We'll have to start saving our pennies to go back :)

Gardner Village

Last week we went to Gardner Village. Every year around Halloween they have a witch festival. It's fun to go and walk around and look at all the stuff. Josh actually let me take some pictures of him :)

Games in the Car

We were on our way to dinner at my aunt and uncle's house last week (we love Annie and Reggie). Taylor was sitting in the very back of the van and Josh was in the middle section. Taylor talked Josh into playing tic, tac, toe with him but he had the paper and pencil. He asked Josh, "I'll write it down. Where do you want to go?" Josh was quiet for a minute so Taylor asked again. "Josh, where do you want to go?" After another brief pause, Josh said, "Sunriver!" Sunriver is where we go with my mom's side of the family for a family reunion every-other-year. It is so much fun! We are already looking forward to it, expecially Josh. We all can't wait to see Grammy!!

Tic, Tac, Toe, Three in a Row

Lauren lost her two front teeth in March. That's 7 months ago! They are not poking through the skin at all. The dentist took x-rays and said they are there and could still take a couple of months to come in. Today she lost another one on top. Now she's missing three across the top. You can't really tell there are three missing, but the gap is getting wider!

Yum, Yum Watermelon

I know I've said this before, but Josh LOVES watermelon. Last night he was so upset that I cut up the cantelope instead of the watermelon for dinner. This is a picture from a couple of weeks ago. Taylor loves to use the melon baller on the watermelon. He doesn't especially like watermelon, but he likes to cut it. Josh couldn't wait and each time Taylor put a melon ball into the bowl, Josh reached in, grabbed it and ate it. Who can deny a kid watermelon?
