Whew!!

This afternoon was a little stressful at out house. Today was the big BYU/UofU rival football game. Parley has been nervous about it for quite a long time. It was quite the nail biter. I think Parley lost some pounds by pacing for over three hours. It all worked out the way he wanted in the end. Taylor was by his side for most of the game. It was cute to see them (although I was out shopping for most of it). When it was all over, Parley said, "Taylor, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose, but it always feels better to win!"

Thanksgiving Day Relaxation

We had a great day at Parley's sister Kim's house. There were about 34 that came. We really missed Dee and Darrelyn and their kids!! Here's some pictures for them (and for anyone else who wants to see :) We all ate until we couldn't eat any more. Then we rested for a few hours and ate again. It was so fun for us and the kids to see everyone that we don't get to see too often. Now it's officially Christmas time. Let the shopping begin!!

Annie to the Rescue!!

My wonderful Auntie Annie came to rescue me once again. I have been begging Josh for MONTHS to get a family picture taken. You may think, "He's three, just pick him up and take him there and he'll be fine." Not so with this kid. If he doesn't want to do it, he WON'T do it. He had to get his picture taken at the gym when we joined and the ladies in the day care always laugh when I check him in because the picture is of me holding his face toward the camera and him screaming hysterically. So Lauren and Taylor talked Josh into getting family pictures done today and I did a little bribing of (Up)Chuck-E-Cheese and he was good to go. We talked it up all day yesterday and he kept saying he was going to smile and be happy. The friend that I had all set-up to take the pictures couldn't do it at the last minute. I was desperate to get them done today. The weather was in the 60's and Josh was good to go. I was afraid he would never agree to do it again if we didn't do it today. I called Annie and, of course, she was happy to drop everything and meet us at the park for pictures. They are all on her camera so I haven't seen them yet, but this is a cute one I got of the three kids. Thank you, thank you Annie!! Look for a (hopefully) cute family picture on your Christmas card from us :)

Bears

In first grade you have the "opportunity" to do a Great Brain project. We knew this was coming since Lauren had the same first grade teacher, so when we went to Bear World this past Labor Day we gathered information and took lots of pictures that would be good to use for a Great Brain report. Taylor did his report today and did a great job. He wasn't even nervous. Good job Taylor!

Happy Birthday Parley

Yesterday was Parley's 39th birthday. He doesn't look a day over 29 :) He was out of town all week so we did a family party so the kids could spend time with him, too. We all went to Sweet Tomatoes (soup and salad). The kids had so much fun opening Parley's presents. We hope you had a great birthday Parley!! Thanks for being such a great dad and husband!

Kangaroo Zoo

The kids had Monday off (some teacher development day). There is a fun place down by my Mom and Dad's house called Kangaroo Zoo. It is just a huge room with at least 10 jumpy things. It's a great place to wear out your kids :) We met Jake and Abby there and took Lauren's friend Josie. I couldn't get Josh to pose for the picture but he's in the background in the striped shirt. There weren't many kids because all the schools down there didn't have the day off. They played for almost 2 1/2 hours. They all slept good last night!

Trick-or-Treat

Every year we have a little pizza party with out neighbors and then go out trick-or-treating together. Carter is next to Taylor and he's in Taylor's class. The tall dark weird looking one is Conner, he's a year older than Lauren. Josh wouldn't pose with the kids but I got him outside. They all got more candy than they could ever eat, however, Josh is doing a good job of making a big dent in it. I have to put it up high or he will try and sneak it while I'm in the shower :)
