Go Green Lightening

For those of you who know Josh, you can understand how hard it was to talk him into playing soccer. It's not that he doesn't love running and kicking, it's that he has such a hard time with grown-ups he doesn't know and everyone watching him. Luckily we signed-up with some of his friends and his coach is awesome! The first two games were rained out but he finally got to play last week. He loved it and actually scored a goal!

Spring for a Day

Last Monday it was actually warm and felt like spring. Gwen is in town from California so we all (9 grandkids and moms and grandma) went to the gardens. The tulips weren't out yet but it was still beautiful. Josh was so proud of himself for going in the "Bear Cave." He's not scared now that he's five :)

Easter

We had a great Easter. Church was great and we even got some family pictures. As you can see, Josh wasn't too happy about it but at least you can see his face. We hung-out at home for a while coloring eggs and eating LOTS of candy. Then we were off to Annie and Reggie's house for a yummy dinner and another egg hunt. Two days later and we're all still on a sugar high.

I LOVE the Biggest Loser

Last month when we went to visit Gwen in So.Cal. we went to "The Biggest Loser" ranch. It is literally about two miles from her house. It was so cool but also different than I expected. I had it all set up a different way in my mind, kind of like when you read a book and then see the movie and it's different than the book.
Anyway, the security guard told us it had been a ghost town for a couple of months but that crews had started showing up that day. I think the players must have all been home and they were getting ready to come back for the finale. So, as luck would have it, they gym was unlocked and he let me go in to take some pictures. It was so cool to see where it all happens. I could just hear Jillian and Bob.

I love the show because it such a happy, feel-good show. We could all use a little of that right now. It's so motivating to see them change their lives, for the better. Somehow though, I have to be munching on snacks while I watch it. Must be something subliminal :)
