Josh turns 9 and March Birthdays

March is a big month for birthday's in our family.  Lauren, Josh, Grandma Brodine, Carrie, Kennedy and Gram all have March Birthdays.  Lots of cake and celebrating!

Lauren turns 14

One year older and wiser, too.  Lauren is now 14!

Rick-a-roo

Lauren is now raising a guide for the blind. The puppy bus came and dropped off Rick! Is is awesome and cute and a really sweet dog. Lauren is doing a great job training him and we love having him in our home.

Gwen turns 4oh!

Matt pulled off the perfect surprise party for Gwen. He flew in 2 of her friends and lots of family. We waited for them at the restaurant and surprised her. It was awesome! And who doesn't love Southern California in January?

Race for the Cure

Another fun Race for the Cure 5k. The weather was beautiful and it was fun to have Carrie and Eliza run with us this year. They all loved doing the "color run" part of it. My lungs couldn't handle it.

Christmas Eve

We had a nice, quite, somewhat somber, Christmas Eve in Bountiful.  It was fun and festive but there was a hole in all of our hearts since Randy wasn't there.  We miss him terribly and there was no fun game night without him :(  It was fun to do jammies and hang out with family and, of course, do lots of eating!  We hurried home so Santa could come!

Christmas Lights

We took our annual trip downtown to see the lights.  It was actually lightly snowing, cold and festive.  Also very crowded but so beautiful!

Parley's Birthday

Parley had another birthday.  As much as he didn't want it, it still came.  Hopefully he had a good one.  He got a new flatscreen for our bedroom.  It's time to say goodbye to the 80 pound 32 inch screen we bought about 15 years ago!  Happy Birthday Parley.  Here's to a good 44th year!

Halloween Parade & Halloween

Taylor had his last Halloween parade at the elementary school.  Hopefully you can guess what his costume is.  Josh likes being incognito.  Lots of sugar at school, lots of sugar the night before at the church trunk-or-treat party and tons of candy trick-or-treating.  A few months later Taylor still has most of his and Josh only has the gross candy left!  Lauren spent hours trick-or-treating (as Alice in Wonderland) and got about as much candy as Taylor and Josh combined.

Pumpkin Party

Annie's annual pumpkin carving party did not diappoint this year.  Annie buys and cleans out all the pumpkins so we just show up and start carving.  We carve and eat.  Doesn't get much better than that.  This year we added a fun game to the mix.  The boys loved it.  We hid a piece of candy in a pie tin full of whipped cream.
