Happy Birthday Taylor!

This is three days late but Taylor turned 6 last Sunday May 27th. Happy birthday Taylor! He is the sweetest and the most giving and sharing 6-year-old boy I know. We went to the Cheesecake Factory in California to celebrate his birthday. They sang to him and gave him a hot fudge sunday :)

Beach Time

We went to the beach the 3 days we weren't at Disneyland. The kids didn't want to do anything else. It was Josh's first time visiting the ocean. It was all great until a wave knocked him down. After that he stayed away from the water. Paige showed Lauren how to boogie board. We went to Zuma Beach in Malibu - apparently it's where they filmed Baywatch. It was fun in the sun/fog. Oh, the coolest thing was the dolphins we saw every time we went. The fist day they were REALLY close to the shore.

Buzz to Star Command...

The first day we were there we got early admission and there were no lines. The first ride we went on to "ease" Josh into the Disneyland experience was the new Buzz Lightyear ride. He loved it. Over the course of the next 3 days, we probably went on it 15 times. The kids had a great time being in a video game. Each player got points for how many things they shot with their little gun. Taylor was very proud of his 181,800 score!!

DISNEYLAND !!

We had a great time at Disneyland. We did a 3-day park hopper and hopped until we dropped. I think we went on Buzz Lightyear and Monsters Inc. 20 times each. They were Josh's favorite. Lauren's favorite ride was Space Moutain. Her Grandpa Brodine will be proud :) Gwen and her family came down, too and the kids all had a great time together. We're already saving for our next trip to Disneyland. It's the happiest place on earth!

New Hair and No Teeth

Lauren was watching the video of our last trip to Disneyland, which was four years ago. She decided she wanted to have short hair like she did when she was four. This is a little longer version. It looks cute on her, especially with her toothless smile.

All Packed Up With Nowhere to Go

Taylor and Joshy decided to pack their bags today. Today is Wednesday and we don't leave until Saturday. Since the summer clothes are still towards the bottom/back of the drawers and the socks are all in the top drawers, I can only imagine that their suitcases are full of turtlenecks and no underwear or socks. We'll see how many times we have to re-pack.

p.s. Taylor really wanted to have his picture on the blog. He's excited that anyone can see it and he'll be famous :)

Rosie

Lauren had to do a report last week on one of her grandparents. She chose her Grandpa Brodine. It was a cute report with lots of fun questions she got to ask him. There were many things that I didn't know. Did you know he had a pet donkey named Rosie and two cats. One named Little Spook and one named Big Spook. I'm not sure which one he is holding in the picture, or how old dad is, but it sure is cute!!

Losing my Marbles

We are going to Disneyland in 4 Days!! The kids have had to "earn" their way. We've been working on it for months. The kids earn a marble to put in the family jar and when it's full, they will each get $20 to spend at Disneyland. It's been a great thing to hang over their head :) It's almost full and almost ready to go. Do you think they will make it???
