In August we took a family trip to Southern California. We went straight to San Diego, dropped our stuff off at the hotel and headed over to Coronado. It was beautiful! The kids got wet and loved the gold flecks in the sand.
This year we did our usual 4th of July activities. We chose not to do any running but saved our energy for the evening. We watched the parade, ate at Sweet Tomatoes and then watched the awesome Sandy City Fireworks. Another fun one with friends!
Every summer when Gwen and the kids come, we make our annual trek up American Fork Canyon. A fun time is usually had by all (well, it's not one of Lauren's favorite activities).
Parley's sister, Roberta, had an awesome connection to a cabin/mansion in Wallsburg, up Provo Canyon. We had an amazing family reunion. It had been a long time since we had had one, and we had more fun than we deserved. We played tennis, pool, went for hay rides, water slides and lots of games and food. We didn't realize it would be our last time together as a group with Parley's mom. We will cherish this trip forever!
After phase 2 of Braces, Lauren now has straight lovely teeth! Nice to be heading into high school not wearing braces.
Thanks to our 7 Peaks season pass, we spent many summer day having fun in the sun. Luckily all the kids have friends with passes, too, so anytime we had nothing to do, we headed to the waterslide park!
Can't believe that Taylor is the big 12! He's such a handsome young man and almost a teenager. Happy Birthday Taylor!
